Site Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join GENISAN CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING WORKS SDN BHD on a contract basis. This is a critical position based in Selangor that plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction and engineering projects. As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role is essential to the delivery of our infrastructure and construction objectives, bridging the gap between project management and on-site execution teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, including daily logs, progress updates, and incident documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams to ensure efficient workflow and project scheduling
• Manage material procurement and inventory, ensuring quality verification and proper storage on site
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, liaising with senior engineers and project management
• Ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
• Conduct site surveys and take measurements to verify alignment with design drawings and specifications
• Support quality control and testing procedures for structural elements, concrete, and other materials
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and consultants, regarding site progress and concerns

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Agent or in a similar Pipeline project management role
• Proven track record of successfully delivering Pipeline projects within budget and on schedule
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as project planning and scheduling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the construction team
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Preferably knowledgeable in PIPELINE
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
