SITE ENGINEER

About the role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join TOWER BUILD STEEL SDN BHD on a contract basis. This position is based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, and offers an exciting opportunity to work on civil and structural engineering projects. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical implementation of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Your expertise will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and on-site execution, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and relevant building codes

• Conducting daily site inspections and maintaining comprehensive documentation of progress, materials, and workforce activities

• Liaising between the design team, contractors, and project management to resolve technical issues and implement design modifications

• Verifying the quality of materials and workmanship before incorporation into the structure

• Preparing and maintaining site records, including daily reports, test certificates, and as-built drawings

• Implementing and monitoring site safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel

• Coordinating with surveyors to verify dimensional accuracy and structural alignment during construction phases

• Conducting material testing and quality assurance checks in accordance with relevant standards and specifications

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 2-3 years of site engineering experience in civil or structural construction projects

• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards applicable in Malaysia

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and project teams

• Competency in using site inspection software, surveying equipment, and relevant construction management tools

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in quality control and compliance verification

• Physical capability to conduct regular on-site inspections and site visits

• Experience with steel structural projects would be advantageous
