Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQ, and tender requirements to prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and project budgets. You will obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, prepare cost comparisons and tender price breakdowns, and identify scope gaps, technical risks, and potential cost impacts. This position requires coordination with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams, and support for Value Engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQ, and tender requirements
• Prepare quantity take-off, cost estimation, and project budget
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare cost comparison and tender price breakdown
• Identify scope gaps, technical risks, and potential cost impacts
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams
• Support Value Engineering (VE) and cost optimization
• Support tender clarification, negotiation, and project handover

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Estimation, Tendering, Electrical Design, or M&E projects
• Able to read drawings, SLD, specifications, and BOQ
• Knowledge of electrical systems, quantity take-off, and cost estimation
• Good command of Excel and English
• Experience in Data Center, Factory, Industrial, or large-scale M&E projects is preferred
• Electrical design experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of design calculations, equipment/cable sizing, and Value Engineering is an advantage
