Site Engineer

About the Role

HelpLyncs is currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join an established technical engineering environment in Giza.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day site activities related to fire-fighting and fire alarm systems, ensuring that installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities are completed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, safety requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on technical experience who can confidently manage site execution, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with different stakeholders, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities at project sites.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of fire-fighting systems, including:
• Sprinkler systems
• Hydrants
• Fire pumps
• Foam systems
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems, including:
• Detectors
• Control panels
• Alarm devices
• Emergency notification systems
• Perform and coordinate preventive and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Conduct system inspections, functional testing, and commissioning.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Coordinate necessary system repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
• Review approved drawings and technical specifications prior to and during execution.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with applicable fire-safety requirements and standards, including relevant NFPA, BS 5839, and ISO standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
• Coordinate with HSE, facility, project, and client-side teams when required.
• Monitor site progress and quality of execution.
• Identify technical or operational issues and support timely corrective actions.
• Assist with project handover and related documentation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in site engineering, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or technical project execution.
• Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:
• Fire Fighting Systems
• Fire Alarm Systems
• ELV Systems
• Safety Systems
• Electromechanical Systems
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical documentation, and site execution.
• Familiarity with applicable fire-safety standards and regulations.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Very good command of English.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within project teams.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor site environments.

Location

The position is based in Giza, Egypt, with regular site work depending on project requirements.

Candidates who can conveniently commute to areas including:

6th of October City, Haram, Mohandessin, and surrounding areas

will be particularly well-positioned for the role.

Compensation

EGP 20,000 – 25,000 per month

Final compensation will depend on the selected candidate's experience, technical expertise, and overall suitability for the position.
