Site Engineer

About the role

Bina Maju Infra Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our civil and structural engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Klang Valley. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and technical management of construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. This position offers a strategic opportunity to contribute directly to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects whilst developing your expertise in civil and structural engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare comprehensive site reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions taken
• Liaise between the project team, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Review and verify quality of materials, workmanship, and structural elements during construction phases
• Manage site safety protocols and ensure all personnel adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Assist with setting out and verification of survey data to maintain accuracy of construction works
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including daily logs, inspection records, variation orders, and progress documentation
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, liaising with the design team where necessary
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of completed works and systems
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to support timely project delivery

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of site engineering experience on construction projects
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction methodologies
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Experience with construction site management, quality control, and safety protocols
• Competency in using site surveying equipment and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and site management software (an advantage)
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or eligibility for registration (preferred)
