- Monitor project schedules, progress, and site activities to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate installation activities related to PEB structures and heavy steel fabrication works.
- Resolve site-related technical and execution issues effectively and in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular project progress reviews and report to the Sr. Project Manager.
- Ensure successful project completion within budget and timeline.
Subcontractor & Resource Management
- Finalize and coordinate subcontractors for project execution activities.
- Verify subcontractor bills and ensure accuracy before processing.

- Coordinate site manpower and equipment planning to keep projects on schedule.
Documentation, Billing & Client Coordination
- Prepare and raise FSUL running bills/invoices for ongoing projects.
- Follow up on client payments until project completion and handover.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site records, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants on-site for approvals, inspections, and query resolution.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements at all sites.
- Work closely with the Safety In-Charge to ensure site activities (erection, lifting, working at heights) follow approved method statements and safety procedures.
- Verify that installation work matches approved drawings and specifications, flagging discrepancies for resolution with the design team.
- Support final inspection, testing, and handover documentation for completed projects.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering (or Civil Engineering with strong PEB/structural steel installation exposure).
- Minimum 6–10 years of experience in PEB field installation works, structural steel erection, industrial construction projects, and heavy fabrication projects.
- Age 30 years and above.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of PEB erection and steel structure installation, including sequencing and method of erection for warehouses, sheds, and industrial buildings.
- Multi-Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality, safety, or timelines.
- Drawing Interpretation: Good understanding of construction drawings and fabrication processes, able to cross-check site execution against approved designs.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management capabilities, able to direct site staff, subcontractors, and labor crews.
- Coordination: Excellent project execution and coordination skills across design, procurement, production, and site teams.
- Documentation & Billing: Proficiency in project reporting, running bill preparation, and billing processes; familiarity with subcontractor management and project costing is an added advantage.
- Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet project deadlines across multiple concurrent sites.
- Language: Proficiency in English required; ability to communicate with local site labor is an advantage.
Key Performance Indicators (Suggested)
- On-time completion rate across assigned projects (5–6 concurrent sites).
- Accuracy and timeliness of running bill submissions and client payment follow-up.
- Adherence to project budgets, with minimal cost overruns due to site inefficiencies.
- Subcontractor performance and bill-verification accuracy.
- Safety compliance record across all managed sites (zero major incidents).

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role requires frequent travel between the Kampala head office and multiple active project/construction sites within Uganda and neighboring countries. The candidate should be comfortable working in an outdoor, industrial construction environment, coordinating simultaneously across several sites, and available to travel on short notice to resolve site issues.
