SITE ENGINEER

About the role

Wei Yuan Construction Management Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our MOLEX WAREHOUSE PROJECT TEAM. This is a full-time position based in Mabalacat City, Pampanga. As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. This role is critical to the successful delivery of our construction projects and requires a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards
• Conducting daily site inspections and maintaining accurate site records, including progress reports and quality documentation
• Monitoring material quality and ensuring all materials meet project specifications before installation
• Liaising between the project management office, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth site operations
• Identifying potential site risks and implementing corrective measures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Preparing and reviewing method statements and construction plans with construction teams
• Taking site measurements, conducting surveys, and verifying dimensions against design specifications
• Maintaining site safety protocols and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Documenting site progress through photographs and maintaining a comprehensive site diary
• Assisting with cost control measures and reporting on material and labour utilisation
• Resolving on-site issues promptly and escalating complex matters to senior management when necessary

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar on-site engineering role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methodologies, and building codes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and best practices in construction
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance in all aspects of site management
• Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Preferred: Experience with reinforced concrete construction, foundation work, or structural steel projects
• Preferred: Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software
