Key Responsibility

• Review and interpret approved shop drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to ensure HVAC ductwork, piping, and equipment are installed correctly on site.
• Identify site coordination issues, clashes, and obstructions, and liaise with the BIM/design team to resolve them before installation proceeds.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors in the installation of chillers, AHUs, ductwork, chilled water piping, and related HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with the main contractor to ensure required equipment bases, concrete plinths, sleeves, wall openings, and other builder's works are completed according to project requirements.
• Prepare and raise Requests for Inspection (RFI) and coordinate with consultants for inspection and approval of completed installation works.
• Coordinate and conduct site testing, including chilled water pipe pressure testing and ductwork air leakage testing, in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
• Maintain and update red-line drawings to accurately record site changes and support the preparation of final as-built drawings.
• Monitor daily installation progress, manpower, materials, and site activities to ensure works are completed according to the project schedule and budget.
• Coordinate closely with the Construction Manager, Site Supervisor, QA/QC team, consultants, main contractor, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and maintain smooth project execution.
• Ensure all installation works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality requirements, and site safety procedures.

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or others related engineering.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of active on-site experience in HVAC or mechanical building services projects.
• Employment Type: Contract
• Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC, air-conditioning, ventilation, and mechanical systems is preferable.
• Working knowledge of OSHA / CIDB requirements (Malaysia) would be an added advantage.
