Site Engineer

Full Job Description You will join a major disaster recovery project in the Townsville region, supporting the delivery of critical transport infrastructure works. As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring construction activities meet required quality, technical and project standards.

Your focus will be heavily QA-oriented, working closely with project teams and contractors to monitor compliance, documentation and construction outcomes. This is a Monday to Friday opportunity offered initially on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and quality assurance of site construction works

• Monitor works against project specifications, standards and requirements

• Manage QA documentation, inspections, records and compliance processes

• Identify and address quality issues throughout project delivery

• Work collaboratively with construction teams, contractors and stakeholders

• Support site reporting, progress tracking and project documentation

About you

• Experience as a Site Engineer within civil infrastructure or roadworks

• Strong understanding of QA processes and construction documentation

• Experience working within government transport infrastructure projects

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a project delivery environment
