Position: Site Engineer(Lagos)

Job Description and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and coordinating daily construction activities on-site.
• Ensuring that work is executed in accordance with approved architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Coordinating subcontractors, artisans, suppliers, and other site personnel.
• Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and project requirements.
• Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• Preparing daily site reports, progress updates, and other relevant project documentation.
• Identifying and reporting site issues, technical challenges, and deviations from approved drawings.
• Monitoring the use of construction materials and minimizing wastage.
• Liaising with project managers, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant site engineering or construction experience.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to coordinate site workers and subcontractors effectively.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office will be an added advantage.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Victoria Island, Lagos.
