Site Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and supervise daily construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain comprehensive records of work progress, materials, and labour allocation (Site diary).
• Liaise with subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate work schedules and resolve site-related issues.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site
• Prepare and submit daily reports, progress updates, and documentation to project management.
• Manage quality control procedures and conduct inspections to maintain construction standards.
• Assist in cost control by monitoring material usage, labour productivity, and project expenditure.
• Support the resolution of technical issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Communicate effectively with site teams, management, and clients regarding project status and concerns.
• To lease with consultant representative/JKR representative related to daily site inspections.
• To issue daily request for inspection form as per QAQC project procedure.
• To prepare site progress video by using drone as per JKR representative requirement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Construction Site Engineer or similar role on road works and civil engineering projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and JKR Specification.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Competency in health and safety management on construction sites.
• Valid driving license and willingness to work on-site.
• Professional certification such as CIDB competency card.
• Able to work start work immediately.
• Candidates will be assigned at Jabor, Kuantan.
