Are you a Site Engineer looking to join a growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the South West?

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of groundworks and civil engineering projects, working closely with Site Managers and project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

Responsibilities Will Include Setting out groundworks and civil engineering activities.

Undertaking site surveys, measurements and as-built surveys.

Interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.

Supporting the delivery of foundations, drainage, earthworks, concrete structures and external works.

Checking levels, dimensions and tolerances to ensure accuracy.

Maintaining quality assurance records and inspection documentation.

Raising and responding to technical queries (RFIs).

Monitoring progress and identifying potential technical issues.

Working with site teams to resolve engineering challenges and improve buildability.

Ensuring works comply with health and safety requirements and project specifications.

Maintaining accurate site records and communicating progress to the wider project team.

About You To be considered, you should have:

Experience in a Site Engineer role within groundworks or civil engineering.

Strong setting-out and surveying skills.

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience with quality assurance, as-built surveys and site documentation.

A good understanding of construction methods, particularly groundworks and substructures.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively with site teams.

A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.

A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel to sites across the region.
