Site Engineer – Civil

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer – Civil to oversee day-to-day construction activities on site. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in structural works (RCC, formwork, reinforcement, concreting) and finishing works (plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, joinery, etc.). You will be responsible for quality, safety, progress, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all structural works including excavation, foundation, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, and structural steel as applicable.
• Oversee finishing works such as brick/block masonry, plastering, flooring, tiling, false ceiling, painting, waterproofing, and other interior/exterior finishes.
• Prepare and monitor daily/weekly work schedules and ensure progress as per the approved program.
• Conduct quality checks at every stage of construction and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and IS codes.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution.
• Maintain site documentation including daily progress reports, material receipts, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) norms on site.
• Monitor material consumption and control wastage.
• Resolve site issues promptly and escalate critical matters to the Project Manager when required.
• Assist in quantity verification, billing, and reconciliation of contractor bills.
• Lead and guide junior engineers, supervisors, and site workforce.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural and finishing works on residential, commercial, or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of RCC construction practices, formwork systems, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good understanding of quality control procedures and relevant Indian Standards (IS codes).
• Experience in site coordination, contractor management, and progress monitoring.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on site and handle multiple responsibilities.

Preferred

• Experience in high-rise or large-scale building projects.
• Knowledge of project management tools or software (Primavera / MS Project) is an advantage.
• Valid safety certifications (if any).
