About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Site Engineer to oversee on-site construction activities and ensure project excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, technical accuracy of calculations, and the supervision of labor forces to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Oversight & Quality Control

• Plan Verification & Completeness: Check plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure the absolute accuracy and completeness of calculations. You are responsible for identifying missing details in provided drawings and raising concerns immediately.
• Detailed Shop drawings: Where drawings are incomplete or require site-specific adjustments, you must provide detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD to guide the construction process.
• Construction Methodology: Prepare and document clear construction methodologies to be strictly followed by the labor force to ensure technical integrity.
• Specification Compliance: Ensure all materials used and work performed strictly adhere to project specifications.
• Quality & Safety: Oversee quality control and strictly manage health and safety matters on-site.
• Technical Support: Provide immediate technical support during construction phases, resolving issues promptly to minimize potential delays.

Site Management & Coordination

• Daily Management: Carry out day-to-day site management, including direct supervision and monitoring of the site labor force and subcontractors.
• Subcontractor Liaison: Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure their work meets quality standards and progress deadlines.
• Documentation: Maintain a detailed site diary recording daily events and activities to evaluate processes and boost productivity.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports as required by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally with a background in Mini-Hydro Power Plants or similar heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and adapt in high-pressure situations.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for design review and technical adjustments.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Personal Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Filipino (knowledge of regional dialects is an advantage).
