Site Engineer (Electrical)

About the role

Supervise and coordinate all electrical construction and installation activities on site. Ensure electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within the approved schedule
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, subcontractors, and the client to ensure smooth project execution
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, method statements, and technical specifications prior to construction
• Supervise electrical installation works
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure workmanship, productivity, and quality meet project requirements
• Coordinate inspection and testing activities, including insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, cable testing, protection relay testing, and pre-commissioning works
• Support commissioning activities and assist in energisation and grid synchronisation in accordance with project procedures
• Ensure compliance with project QA/QC requirements by preparing inspection requests, checklists, and as-built documentation
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports
• Monitor material deliveries, installation progress, and inventory to ensure timely project execution

About you

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its related field
• 1 year of experience as Electrical Engineer / Site Engineer in large scale infrastructure projects
• NTSP/RAA/GCQP holder is an added advantage
• Experience in TNB projects
• Good communication and strong problem-solving skills
• Good report writing skills
• Willing to travel to other site projects if required
