Site Engineer -Electrical (Waste To Energy)

Objective

Responsible for electrical engineering coordination, site installation, quality inspection, and commissioning and delivering systems that are correctly installed, rigorously tested, and handed over on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Review electrical conceptual designs, detailed engineering, and single-line diagrams (SLD) for Integrated Waste Processing Facility (IWPF).

• Review technical specifications for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and motor control centers (MCC).
• Reviewing, and tracking electrical deliverables: cable schedules, equipment layouts, termination schedules, lighting design, earthing drawings, etc.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at vendor works; prepare FAT reports and inspect electrical materials and equipment coming to site.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections in accordance with approved FQP/ QAP; prepare punch list items; follow-up with the contractors and track completion.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, civil contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate electrical work execution without delays.
• Maintain a daily site electrical progress log; report installation quantities, manpower deployment, and constraint areas
• Carry out/ witness pre-commissioning tests and maintain commissioning records, test result logs, punch list tracking sheets
• Ensure all installation deviations and in-situ arrangements are communicated to design team for preparation of As-built drawings.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures throughout project phases.
• Work strictly as per the Site Permit to Work (PTW) system and follow LOTO procedures for everyday activities.
• Conduct job safety analysis (JSA) and toolbox talks prior to electrical work activities.
• Participate actively in safety audits, incident investigations, and near-miss reporting.
• C License will be preferable. Must be preferebale electrical work experience in project/ power plant operations.
