Site Engineer (Façade / Curtain Wall)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and responsible Site Engineer to coordinate façade installation works, monitor project progress, ensure quality and safety compliance, and support the timely completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Project Coordination

Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, particularly façade, curtain wall, aluminum and glazing installation works.

Monitor site progress to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications and construction schedules.

Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth site operations.

Plan and arrange manpower, materials, equipment and resources to meet project requirements.

Attend site meetings, coordination meetings and progress reviews with relevant stakeholders.

Identify and resolve site-related technical issues to minimize delays and disruptions.

Technical & Engineering Support

Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical specifications.

Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, project requirements and applicable standards.

Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical discrepancies and site installation issues.

Conduct site inspections, measurements and verification of completed works.

Assist in preparing technical submissions, inspection requests and relevant engineering documentation.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on technical matters and material requirements.

Quality Control & Safety Compliance

Monitor workmanship and installation quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on defects, non-conformances and corrective actions.

Ensure site activities comply with workplace safety and health requirements and approved safe work procedures.

Work closely with the site safety team to identify hazards and implement appropriate preventive measures.

Support quality inspections, testing, handover and defect rectification activities.

Project Progress & Reporting

Monitor daily work progress, manpower deployment and material utilization.

Prepare daily site reports, progress updates and other relevant project documentation.

Track project milestones and highlight potential delays or technical issues to the Project Manager.

Coordinate material delivery schedules and ensure materials are available for installation.

Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and site productivity.

Support project completion, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum

2–3 years of relevant site engineering or construction experience

.

Experience in façade, curtain wall, aluminum, glazing or architectural building envelope works will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with Singapore's construction practices, site coordination procedures and safety requirements.

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.

Good knowledge of construction methods, installation procedures and quality control practices.

Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced site environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD will be advantageous.

Willing to work at various project sites across Singapore.
