Site Engineer - Ghuwaifat Project

JOB PURPOSE

The Site Engineer will provide technical and engineering support for Ghuwaifat Projects, ensuring construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves setting out works, supervising site execution, coordinating with the Site Foreman and subcontractors, and maintaining accurate technical and quality records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review drawings, specifications, and method statements to support accurate site execution.
• Carry out setting-out and survey checks to ensure works are constructed to the correct lines, levels, and dimensions.
• Supervise and coordinate site works, directing the Site Foreman and subcontractor teams on technical requirements.
• Monitor construction quality, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical records, including inspection requests, test results, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate material and shop-drawing submittals, ensuring compliance with the approved design.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on-site, escalating to the Construction Manager where required.
• Support quality control processes, including inspections, testing, snagging, and de-snagging.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme, reporting any delays or risks.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve site queries.
• Ensure all site engineering activities are fully documented and compliant with company procedures and UAE regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of site engineering experience on civil/building construction projects.
• Proven experience in setting-out, quality control, and technical site supervision.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.

• Strong technical knowledge of civil and building construction methods and specifications.
• Proficiency in setting-out, surveying, and quality control procedures.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Effective communication and coordination skills across site, engineering, and subcontractor teams.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
