SITE ENGINEER/ PROJECT ENGINEER (CIVIL & ELECTRICAL)

We are hiring for two positions under one advertisement. The position offered will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for the Site Engineer position.

1. Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and procedures.
• Report daily site progress and update records through the company’s in-house mobile application.
• Inspect materials, installation works, and workmanship at the site.
• Coordinate and monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure productivity and work quality.
• Arrange the required materials, machinery, and equipment before site works commence.
• Check the quantity and quality of materials delivered and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Perform site measurements and verify completed works according to client requirements.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with company and legal requirements.
• Safeguard company materials, machinery, equipment, and other assets at the site.
• Submit Delivery Orders (DO), Material Transfer (MT), and other relevant documents to the respective departments.
• Assist with defect rectification, project completion, and handover.
• Undertake other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates and polytechnic graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV underground power cable projects is an added advantage.
• Willing to work outstation and outside the Klang Valley.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice.

2. Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BQ), and contractual requirements.
• Identify and coordinate the resolution of discrepancies in project documents.
• Prepare project budgets, schedules, timelines, and regular progress updates.
• Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure compliance with cost, time, quality, and safety requirements.
• Monitor each phase of the project and provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, utility providers, and statutory bodies.
• Coordinate insurance, work permits, bank guarantees, statutory approvals, and other project documents.
• Prepare and submit monthly project claims according to contractual cut-off dates.
• Follow up on the certification and payment of project claims.
• Prepare Operation & Maintenance Manuals and project handover documentation.
• Coordinate project completion, defect rectification, and final handover to the client.
• Undertake other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant project experience.
• Experience in 132kV or 275kV transmission lines, substations, underground power cables, data centres, or related infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience in civil works for power infrastructure, such as foundations, trenching, duct banks, and substation works, is also welcome.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software. Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
