SITE ENGINEER (SOLAR PROJECT)

About the role

The Site Engineer / Solar Project & Sales Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical and engineering activities of solar farm projects, ensuring that construction and installation works are completed according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The position will also support the company's sales and marketing activities for solar energy projects, including identifying potential clients, developing project leads, preparing technical proposals and quotations, conducting site assessments, presenting solar solutions, and maintaining good relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the day-to-day construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities of solar farm/solar PV projects
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and technical documents
• Ensure that solar PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical systems, cables, transformers, and other project components are properly installed
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that construction activities comply with approved plans and specifications
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, foremen, electricians, workers, consultants, and other project personnel
• Monitor project progress and ensure that activities are completed within the approved project schedule
• Identify technical issues, site problems, delays, and potential risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress reports, inspection reports, accomplishment reports, and other required project documentation
• Conduct or assist in testing, inspection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems
• Identify and develop potential clients for solar farm, solar PV, and renewable energy projects

About you

• Hands-on experience in solar farm or solar PV projects
• Strong technical knowledge
• Good project coordination skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and business partners
