Site Engineer (Structural)- off-site

About the role

As a Project-Based Site Engineer (Structural), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely completion of construction projects. This position will be primarily deployed at the assigned project site, where you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities. Your primary focus will be on applying your expertise in structural engineering to ensure that all works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing and coordinating construction projects from start to finish
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

What you'll be doing

• Serve as lead person to coordinate all activities and communication within the site/project areas as well as between those areas and other offices and locations.
• Is responsible to assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance with all pertinent requirements.
• Site Coordination, Monitoring, and Supervision ensuring all works are done as per schedule and within the budget.
• Responsibility includes serving as the single point of accountability to senior management, the client, and the homeowners association.
• Plan, implement and control the project ensuring the project will be completed on time, within the budget and delivered to the highest level of delivery standards.
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities and resources needed to successfully complete the project.
• Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
• Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project.
• Prepare Project Schedule, Project Execution Plan and Project Budget.
• Execute the project according to the project plan.
• Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secure.
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
• Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
• Prepare project weekly reports and supporting documentation.
