Site Engineer (Structured Cabling / Data Center)

About the role

Carry out structured cabling installation for data centres, factories, offices and other project sites. Lead and supervise technicians and workers during on-site installation, allocate daily tasks and monitor work quality, safety and progress. Install, route, dress, label and terminate copper and fibre-optic cables, perform testing and quality inspections, and coordinate with project managers, customers and other site contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out structured cabling installation for data centres, factories, offices and other project sites
• Read and understand cable schedules, termination tables, port-mapping tables, rack elevations and basic cabling drawings
• Lead and supervise technicians and workers during on-site installation
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor work quality, safety and progress
• Install, route, dress, label and terminate copper and fibre-optic cables
• Perform copper and fibre testing, troubleshooting and basic quality inspections
• Ensure cable labels, port numbers and termination points match the approved documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, customers and other site contractors
• Record completed work and prepare daily progress reports, test results and as-built information
• Follow site safety requirements and project installation standards

About you

• At least 2 years of experience in structured cabling, ELV, telecom or data-centre cabling projects
• Able to read and follow termination tables, cable schedules, port mappings and technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with Cat6/Cat6A copper cabling and fibre-optic cabling
• Familiar with RJ45 termination, patch panels, fibre patch panels, racks, cable managers and labelling
• Experience supervising or leading installation workers on-site
• Able to communicate work instructions clearly and solve installation issues independently
• Willing and able to travel to Rayong, Chonburi and other locations in Thailand as required
• Able to work overtime, at night or on weekends when required by the project
• Good safety awareness and attention to detail
• Thai communication skills are required; basic English communication and technical reading ability are preferred
