Site Engineer- Substation

Job Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer Substation (132 kV) with a strong electrical engineering background and hands-on experience in 132 kV substations and transmission line projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, ensuring quality execution, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining safety and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities of 132 kV substations.
• Monitor installation of transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, LA, control & relay panels, and associated equipment.
• Coordinate transmission line construction activities including tower erection, conductor stringing, sagging, and earthing works.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project standards.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
• Verify measurements and certify contractor bills as per completed work.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and statutory regulations at site.
• Monitor material availability and maintain records of site inventory.
• Support testing and commissioning activities and facilitate project handover documentation.
• Identify and resolve site-related technical issues to prevent project delays.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of 132 kV Substation construction and Transmission Line projects.
• Understanding of substation layouts, single-line diagrams, protection systems, and switchyard equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites.
