Site Foreman

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Site Development & Dirt Work Foreman to oversee daily operations on commercial and residential site development projects. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating equipment and materials, maintaining productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with dirt work, grading, excavation, site preparation, and operating heavy equipment, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead daily dirt work and site development operations
• Read and understand site plans, grading plans, and project specifications
• Oversee excavation, grading, clearing, hauling, spreading, and compaction operations
• Operate heavy equipment when needed, including dozers, excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other construction equipment
• Coordinate with dump truck drivers, equipment operators, subcontractors, and project management
• Ensure proper grades, elevations, drainage, and site preparation
• Monitor job progress and communicate updates to management
• Maintain productivity and keep projects on schedule
• Inspect work to ensure it meets company and project standards
• Identify and address job-site issues and delays
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Enforce company safety policies
• Conduct daily job-site inspections and communicate safety concerns
• Track materials, equipment, loads, and production as needed
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and other job-site personnel
• Report equipment issues, project concerns, and employee issues to management
• Perform other duties related to site development and dirt work as needed

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE GPS EXPERIENCE.

• Previous experience as a construction foreman, site foreman, or lead in dirt work/site development
• Strong knowledge of grading, excavation, and site preparation
• Experience operating heavy construction equipment
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and elevations
• Ability to lead and manage a crew effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA/safety knowledge preferred
• Experience with commercial site development preferred
• Must be willing to travel out of town

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
