Fire Fighting Foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise fire fighting installation and maintenance works.
• Distribute technicians and helpers according to daily work requirements.
• Read and follow approved drawings and site instructions.
• Monitor daily work progress and completed quantities.
• Check materials received, issued and used at site.
• Ensure proper workmanship and compliance with safety requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Engineer regarding site progress, materials and manpower.
• Report any site problems, delays or material shortages immediately.

Daily Documentation – Mandatory

The Foreman must maintain written daily records for all site activities, including:

• Date and project/location.
• Manpower available and manpower distribution.
• Work completed during the day.
• Exact location/area of completed work.
• Quantity of work completed.
• Materials received at site.
• Materials used during the day.
• Remaining materials at site.
• Pending and incomplete works.
• Material shortages or additional requirements.
• Site problems or delays.
• Instructions received from Engineer / Client / Main Contractor.
• Rework or modifications carried out.
• Daily progress percentage.
• Foreman name and signature.
• Project Engineer review and signature.

No site work should be considered completed unless it is properly recorded and submitted in the Daily Work Report.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire Fighting Systems.
• Good knowledge of Sprinkler, Hose Reel, Hydrant, Fire Pump and Fire Fighting Pipework systems.
• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Good leadership and manpower management skills.
• Strong discipline in daily reporting and documentation.
• Basic knowledge of NFPA and UAE Civil Defence requirements.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
