Site Inspector/IOW

Job Purpose

Responsible to assist Project Manager in all matters pertaining to site supervision, site progress, project quality, project safety, project documentation, authority inspection and project handover for respective development.

Responsibilities

Site Supervision

• Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors on the site requirement
• Monitor site activities such as checking, inspection, measurement and supervision of works to comply with specifications and drawings.

Site Progress

• Monitor site progress according to agreed schedule and plan for daily works
• Ensure site progress ahead of schedule

Project Quality

• Monitor work procedures and quality of workmanships are according to ISO and Quality standard
• Ensure all defect rectifications resolved within agreed timeframe
• Assist Project Manager during audit assessment
• Timely closing for Monthly Quality Assessment

Project Safety

• To ensure quality, health, safety and environment requirements are complied with Statutory Regulations
• Assist Project Manager during audit assessment
• Timely closing for Monthly Safety Assessment

Project Documentation

• Manage and control project documentation including prepare daily report i.e. manpower, quality and safety inspection, testing & commissioning report site diary and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded on daily basis.
• Responsible for daily communication affairs between contractors and department.
• Ensure defects are recorded in the defect plan and contractor to rectify the defect within the agreed timeline.

Authority Inspection

• Conduct Testing & Commissioning for the system i.e.  sewerage, water & drainage.
• Ensure work completed and accepted by Authority i.e. SAJ, IWK, MBIP prior to CCC

Project Handover

• Assist Project Handover team to manage defect rectification during Defect Liability Period (DLP)
• Ensure the defect resolved within agreed timeframe

Qualifications:

• Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Building or any equivalent discipline.
• At least 7 years of working experience with minimum five (5) years’ experience in construction site supervision.
• Possess good planning and supervision skills.
• Knowledgeable about detailed drawings, standard and work programs, inspection processes and requirements.
• Good site practice in Quality, Safety, Health & Environment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
