We’re preparing to launch a new commercial cleaning account in Holland, MI, and are seeking two reliable, motivated Site Leads to help establish a strong, quality-focused cleaning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with janitorial experience and leadership skills who enjoys supporting employees, maintaining high cleaning standards, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you’ll help coordinate daily activities, guide team members, monitor performance, and maintain a professional environment that meets customer expectations.

We have two full-time schedule options available.

Available Positions & Schedules

Position 1 – Monday Through Friday

• Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM–1:00 PM

Position 2 – Weekend & Weekday Schedule

• Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Monday–Wednesday: 5:00 AM–1:00 PM

Position Overview

The Site Lead helps oversee the day-to-day janitorial operation and serves as a key resource for the cleaning staff. You’ll work closely with the Site Manager to coordinate assignments, train employees, verify completed work, address operational concerns, and help ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and well maintained.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable taking initiative, and able to lead by example. Previous experience in commercial cleaning, custodial services, housekeeping, or a similar environment is preferred.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction and hands-on support to cleaning team members.
• Demonstrate cleaning techniques and reinforce established site procedures.
• Organize work assignments and follow up to ensure tasks are completed.
• Perform routine inspections and address areas that do not meet quality expectations.
• Bring staffing challenges, service concerns, and operational issues to the Site Manager’s attention.
• Monitor inventory and help maintain adequate supplies, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Review attendance, labor hours, and team productivity in accordance with established procedures.
• Reinforce compliance with uniform policies, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety rules, and customer requirements.
• Assist with staffing coordination and arrange coverage when needed.
• Respond courteously and professionally to customer questions or service requests.
• Maintain accurate daily records, inspection results, and other required reports.
• Follow site protocols for access control and securing the facility.
• Keep the Site Manager updated on progress, performance, supply needs, and any issues requiring attention.
• Encourage teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance services is preferred.
• Experience as a team lead, trainer, or supervisor is an advantage.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to completing work to a high standard.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Careful attention to cleanliness, detail, and quality.
• Ability to coach coworkers, demonstrate procedures, and provide clear direction.
• Effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
• Ability to maintain accurate time records and follow operational guidelines.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, chemical handling, and equipment use.
• Basic proficiency with computers, smartphones, and email.
• Ability to work one of the schedules listed above.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and meet all customer and site access requirements.
