Site Lead - Data Center (3 months contract)

About the role

The Site Lead is a three-month contract position responsible for leading installation teams on an active construction site. The role ensures mechanical installation work is executed safely, correctly, and in compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. The Site Lead coordinates daily site activities, resolves field constraints, monitors productivity, and reports progress, risks, manpower, and material concerns to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation teams and ensure all work is performed safely and correctly
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture and stop unsafe work when required
• Ensure compliance with safe work practices and active construction-site requirements
• Coordinate daily site activities and provide clear direction to installation teams
• Lead by example and build credibility through strong technical knowledge and field leadership
• Identify and resolve site issues, clashes, and workfront constraints
• Escalate blockers and risks early and drive practical solutions
• Take ownership of installation quality and compliance with drawings and project requirements
• Monitor productivity and drive progress against project milestones
• Provide daily updates to the Site Manager on progress, blockers, and risks

About you

• 5 - 10 years of experience in mechanical construction, piping, HVAC, cooling systems, data centers, oil and gas, or similar industries
• Proven field experience leading installation teams and coordinating daily site activities
• Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, layout drawings, installation details, and specifications
• Ability to work full-time on an active construction site and across day, evening, night, and weekend rotations
• Educational background in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Deep knowledge of installation methods, quality control, piping systems, and safe work practices (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and field-leadership capabilities (preferred)
