Site Manager

About the Role

An excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial construction management with one of Auckland’s most respected main contractors.

Working as part of an experienced project team, you’ll take responsibility for site logistics and labour coordination, helping ensure the day-to-day operation of the site runs safely, efficiently and to programme.

This isn't a role where you'll be expected to know everything from day one. You'll be surrounded by experienced Site Managers, Project Managers and construction professionals who will support your development and give you exposure to how high-quality commercial projects are delivered.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Coordinating and managing site labour
• Managing day-to-day site logistics and access
• Assisting with planning and sequencing of site activities
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and site movements
• Supporting subcontractor coordination
• Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the site
• Working closely with the wider project team to keep works progressing
• Building your knowledge across programme, quality and overall site management

About You This role could suit someone who has come through the trades and is ready to move into site management, or someone who has completed a construction cadetship and has a solid understanding of how a commercial building site operates.

We're looking for someone with:

• A trade or practical construction background
• Exposure to commercial construction projects
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with people on site
• Good organisational skills and the ability to stay on top of multiple moving parts
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ambition to progress into a well-rounded Site Manager
