Site Manager

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing flooring projects from site establishment through to completion. You will coordinate applicators, subcontractors, materials and site activities while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of commercial and industrial flooring projects
• Hands on work involved in the application
• Mentoring, coaching and training others
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, materials and equipment
• Planning labour requirements and monitoring project hours
• Reviewing project scope, specifications, drawings and installation requirements
• Completing site measures, inspections and quality checks
• Ensuring substrate preparation and flooring systems meet specification
• Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and resolving site issues
• Maintaining accurate site records, QA documentation and daily reports

About you

• Proven experience managing commercial or industrial flooring projects
• 15 year's experience
• Strong technical knowledge of flooring preparation and installation
• Experience with resin, epoxy, polyurethane, polished concrete or other specialist flooring systems
• Previous leadership experience within construction or specialist trades
• The ability to plan labour, materials and project programmes effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• High standards of workmanship, quality and health and safety
• Confidence using digital systems for reporting, QA and project documentation
