About Us

Litton Construction is an established and growing design and build construction company delivering high-quality employment and light industrial projects across the Midlands, Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

Part of the Litton Group, the business is already profitable, delivering projects successfully and has a significant pipeline of work in place. We are now looking to build on this strong foundation by expanding our external client base, securing more third-party work and developing Litton Construction into a larger, increasingly independent construction business.

We are looking to expand our team with an experienced and motivated Site Manager who wants to play an important role in this next stage of growth.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion.

You will work closely with the project team, subcontractors, clients and consultants, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, to a high standard and in accordance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and performance of construction sites.
• Ensure all HSE legislation, company procedures and site rules are followed.
• Conduct site inductions and regularly review risk assessments and method statements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised site environment.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and statutory providers on site.
• Monitor programme, quality and subcontractor performance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and the internal project team.
• Ensure projects meet required health & safety and quality standards.
• Report progress, issues and key project information to the Contracts Manager and senior management.

About You

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site operations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small, professional team.
• Willingness to travel across the Midlands, Yorkshire, Derbyshire and potentially further afield.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• SMSTS qualified (essential).
• First Aid qualification (preferred).

Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
