Site Manager

About the role

Pristine Glory Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction operations at our project in Pusing, Perak. This is a contract position that plays a crucial role in ensuring successful project delivery, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating all on-site activities. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing personnel, resources, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering exceptional construction projects and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, plans, and safety regulations
• Supervise and manage on-site personnel, including coordination of trades and subcontractors
• Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets, reporting regularly to senior management
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout construction phases
• Manage health and safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks and ensuring all personnel follow safety procedures
• Coordinate material deliveries and equipment, ensuring availability when required
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, and incident documentation
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address site issues and changes
• Control site expenses and implement cost-saving measures whilst maintaining quality
• Ensure environmental compliance and implement sustainable construction practices on site

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Manager or similar senior site-based role in construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations in Malaysia
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driving licence and reliable transportation
• Health and Safety qualification (CIDB or equivalent) is essential
• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure
