Site Manager – Building Automation / BMS

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of Building Automation and BMS works across data centre projects in Helsinki. This is a priority hire for a role combining technical oversight with day-to-day leadership of a team of more than 12 people.

You will be responsible for keeping installation activities coordinated, resolving site issues, and working closely with subcontractors and project stakeholders to deliver the Building Automation scope safely and to the required standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Building Automation team on site, managing a team of 12+ people.
• Oversee daily installation activities and track progress against project requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure their work is aligned with the wider site programme.
• Review the quality of electrical installation work, with particular attention to cabling standards and installation practices.
• Identify and resolve technical or delivery issues with the relevant engineering and project teams.
• Communicate progress, risks and site requirements clearly to stakeholders.
• Support the transition from installation into testing and commissioning by ensuring work is ready for the next stage.

What we’re looking for

• Proven Site Manager experience on complex construction, engineering or technology projects.
• A strong background in Building Automation, BMS or building controls.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams of at least 12 people.
• Sound electrical understanding, particularly cabling standards and electrical installation.
• Strong subcontractor coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and the confidence to lead discussions across site and project teams.

Data centre experience is preferred. We are also interested in candidates from pharmaceutical facilities, large-scale manufacturing, or other technically complex environments who have the right Building Automation and site leadership experience.

Location and working arrangements

This role is fully site based in Helsinki. Candidates must either already be based in Helsinki or be willing and able to relocate independently. Rotation is not available, and no relocation package is provided.
