Site Manager

About the Role
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. You will provide leadership to Project Builders, Foremen, and subcontractors while supporting the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all site activities in line with project programmes.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and multiple trade disciplines.
• Ensure works are completed to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks or delays.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and site interfaces.
• Maintain site records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Drive a strong health and safety culture across all site operations.
• Conduct toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and safety inspections.
• Stop unsafe work practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented when required

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5+ years of construction experience.
• Proven experience leading and supervising site teams.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive leadership style.
