Job Type: Permanent

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join an established residential developer on a 140-unit traditional build development in Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential Site Manager to take ownership of a sizeable development and play a key role in delivering the project safely, on programme and to a high standard. The client is also open to experienced Assistant Site Managers who have a strong background in residential housebuilding and are ready to take the next step into their first Site Manager position.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the development, overseeing site operations from construction through to completion and handover.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and wider project team, managing subcontractors, trades and site activities while ensuring the development remains on programme and meets the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day construction activities across the development
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of the site from build through to completion
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors, trades and suppliers
  • Monitoring progress against the build programme and addressing potential delays
  • Ensuring all works are completed to the required quality standards
  • Managing health & safety across the site and ensuring company procedures are followed
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
  • Managing site logistics, deliveries, materials and resources
  • Working closely with the Contracts Manager to maintain programme
  • Liaising with NHBC and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring plots are progressed efficiently and prepared for inspection
  • Managing snagging, completion and handover of properties
  • Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
  • Driving high standards of workmanship across the development

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join an established residential developer and take ownership of a 140-unit traditional build development in Yorkshire. For an experienced Site Manager, the role offers the opportunity to manage a substantial development with a competitive salary and strong overall package. For an experienced Assistant Site Manager, this represents an excellent opportunity to step into a Site Manager position and continue developing your career within a well-established housebuilding environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a sizeable development while gaining further experience across all stages of the residential build process.

About You
