Role Purpose

The Site Head – Rooftop Solar Projects will be responsible for end-to-end execution and management of rooftop solar projects at site, ensuring timely delivery within approved budget, scope, quality, and safety standards. The incumbent will lead site operations, coordinate with stakeholders, manage vendors and contractors, and drive project completion while ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Lifecycle Management

• Lead the complete project lifecycle from site mobilization to commissioning and project handover.
• Ensure successful execution of rooftop solar projects as per approved scope, timelines, quality standards, and budget.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays and project risks.
• Drive achievement of project milestones and ensure timely completion.

Site Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, workforce deployment, and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular site reviews and progress assessments.

Planning & Project Controls

• Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and tracking mechanisms.
• Monitor project performance against planned timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate material availability, manpower planning, and equipment deployment.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting systems.

Quality & Safety Management

• Ensure implementation of best-in-class quality standards and construction practices.
• Drive compliance with all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements and statutory regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, consultants, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication and alignment among project teams and business functions.
• Manage client expectations and address project-related concerns proactively.

Vendor & Contract Management

• Manage contractors, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, safety, quality, and delivery parameters.
• Resolve contractual and execution-related issues to ensure uninterrupted project progress.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop site engineering and execution teams.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
• Ensure effective coordination among engineering, procurement, and execution teams.

Technical Problem Solving

• Identify and troubleshoot technical, operational, and execution challenges.
• Drive resolution of site-level issues with minimal impact on project timelines.
• Support commissioning, testing, and performance optimization activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• 7–14 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, EPC, power, or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in rooftop solar project execution and site management.
• Strong exposure to project planning, construction management, commissioning, and stakeholder handling.
