Site Manager

Job Summary

KATA Projects Ltd is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee day-to-day work on a residential development in Woodhall Spa, comprising new-build houses and lodges.

You’ll be responsible for keeping the site safe, organised and on programme, coordinating subcontractors and checking that work meets the required quality standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage the daily running of the site and coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
• Monitor progress against the programme and raise delays or resource issues promptly.
• Coordinate work from groundworks and foundations through to completion and handover.
• Carry out site inspections and maintain clear records, including site diaries, progress updates and photographs.
• Make sure site inductions, toolbox talks, RAMS briefings and regular safety checks are completed.
• Monitor workmanship, manage defects and snagging, and help ensure plots are ready for inspection and handover.
• Liaise with the project team, suppliers and other relevant site contacts.
• Keep the site secure, tidy and operating safely.

Essential requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential new-build projects.
• Current SMSTS certificate.
• Valid CSCS Manager card.
• Current First Aid at Work certificate.
• Good working knowledge of construction health and safety, RAMS and site documentation.
• Ability to read construction drawings, organise trades and manage competing priorities.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Experience managing several plots or a mixed house-and-lodge development.
• Experience across groundworks, drainage, roads and the full build programme.
• Additional relevant construction or safety certificates.
