What they need

Site Manager

Are you an experienced Site Manager looking to play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure projects? Join a team where safety, quality and operational excellence are at the heart of everything we do, and where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the successful delivery of major water industry projects.

Vacancy Introduction

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing day-to-day construction activities across water infrastructure projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors and resources, maintaining compliance with all health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements whilst driving programme delivery and performance targets. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and stakeholders, you will oversee site operations, monitor progress, manage risks and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational management skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction, utilities or water industry sector.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, including CDM regulations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, resources and project programmes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve site issues whilst maintaining programme delivery and quality standards.
  • SMSTS and Manager/Supervisor CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work certification and a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience.

At Browne, we are committed to creating impact, acting responsibly, innovating intentionally and supporting one another. If you're looking to join a business delivering critical infrastructure projects and want to contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused and forward-thinking environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note that we drug and alcohol test all new starters as part of their induction, whilst also carrying out a DBS check.
