What they need

Location: Various U.S. Locations / Travel Required
Industry: Construction / Facilities / 3PL / Project Management

Employment Type:

This is a full-time traveling position; however, because our work is project-based, schedules may occasionally be affected by project cancellations, delays, or changes in start dates. These circumstances may result in temporary periods between assignments.

Our goal is to maintain a consistent workload and minimize disruptions whenever possible. As a general expectation, a typical rotation could involve approximately three weeks of active project work followed by up to one week between assignments if a project is delayed or canceled. The actual schedule may vary depending on project demand, location, and timing.

Flexibility is an important part of this position, as project schedules can change with limited notice.

About Us

Our team partners with Amazon operations teams throughout the country, primarily serving as a Program and Project Management partner providing comprehensive 3PL solutions tailored to Amazon's operational needs.

We work closely with Amazon leadership to provide field oversight, coordination, and execution support—particularly when managing contractors and field teams who may be unfamiliar with Amazon's processes, safety requirements, and operational protocols.

Our work takes place in active facilities, requiring strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to execute projects while maintaining a safe and productive operating environment.

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Site Manager to oversee field operations on Amazon facility projects throughout the United States.

The Site Manager will serve as the primary field leader, responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, schedules, safety, quality, and daily communication with project management and Amazon leadership.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable leading from the field, solving problems in real time, holding teams accountable, and adapting to changing site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day field operations and project execution.
  • Lead and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party contractors.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for project-related activities.
  • Coordinate work around active Amazon operations while minimizing disruption to site operations.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
  • Maintain awareness of Amazon safety requirements, site protocols, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct daily pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and safety meetings as required.
  • Review project drawings, layouts, scopes of work, and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, receiving, staging, inventory, and deployment.
  • Track manpower, production, quantities completed, materials, equipment, and project progress.
  • Identify field issues and communicate potential schedule, cost, or scope impacts to Project Management.
  • Perform quality-control inspections and ensure completed work meets project requirements.
  • Coordinate punch-list activities and project closeout.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, photographs, documentation, and field records.
  • Participate in site walks, project kickoff meetings, and coordination meetings.
  • Assist with estimating, planning, manpower requirements, and project mobilization when needed.
  • Ensure crews have the proper tools, equipment, PPE, materials, and information required to perform their work.
  • Help establish and maintain organized staging areas, laydown areas, and 5S standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to field personnel while maintaining a professional relationship with customers and site leadership.
  • Travel as required to support projects throughout the United States.

Typical Project Scopes

Our Site Managers may oversee a variety of projects, including:

  • Guardrail installation and removal
  • 5S floor tape implementation and optimization
  • Shelving installation and demolition
  • Facility retrofits
  • Workstation installation and reconfiguration
  • Aerial signage installation
  • Module setup and deployment
  • IT deployment and cable management
  • Inventory receiving and deployment
  • Material handling and facility organization
  • General facility improvements and construction support

Qualifications Required

  • 3+ years of experience in construction, facilities, industrial installation, field operations, or a related industry.
  • Previous experience managing crews or subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, scopes of work, and installation instructions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in active industrial or warehouse facilities.
  • Ability to document daily progress using photos, reports, quantities, and manpower tracking.
  • Proficiency with basic computer and mobile technology.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.

Preferred

  • Experience working at Amazon or other large-scale distribution/fulfillment facilities.
  • Experience with Amazon site protocols and safety requirements.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience operating or coordinating aerial lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience with Fieldwire, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, or similar project-management tools.
  • Previous experience managing subcontractors in an active facility.
  • Construction, facilities, industrial, electrical, low-voltage, or material-handling experience.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of the jobsite.

The right candidate is:

  • A leader who can effectively manage and motivate field teams.
  • Hands-on and willing to get involved when the job requires it.
  • Organized and capable of keeping crews, materials, schedules, and documentation on track.
  • Proactive about identifying problems before they become larger issues.
  • Safety-focused and willing to hold others accountable.
  • Adaptable when project conditions or priorities change.
  • Professional when working with customers, Amazon leadership, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Accountable for the quality and productivity of the work being performed.
  • Resourceful and comfortable figuring out solutions in the field.

Travel Requirements

This is a travel-heavy position. Projects may be located throughout the United States, and the Site Manager must be comfortable traveling for extended project assignments.

Travel may include:

  • Air travel
  • Rental vehicles
  • Hotels
  • Extended stays at project locations
  • Variable work schedules based on project requirements
