Site Manager (Construction)

About the Role We are looking for a highly organized and driven Site Manager to oversee daily construction site operations. You will be the key person on the ground, translating project plans into action, managing site execution teams, and ensuring that construction works are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and up to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure site progress aligns with overall company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Operations & Execution:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring all works are carried out in strict accordance with approved construction drawings, specifications, and the master project schedule.
  • Anticipate technical issues on-site and provide practical, immediate solutions to prevent delays in the construction sequence.

• Team & Subcontractor Management:

  • Direct, supervise, and mentor site engineers, site supervisors, and general workers to maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and schedules for various subcontractors to prevent work clashes, ensuring a smooth and logical sequence of trades.

• Quality Control & Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce stringent Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) for all structural, architectural, and finishing works prior to consultant inspections.
  • Champion on-site safety by working closely with the Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to ensure DOSH regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company safety policies are strictly adhered to by everyone on site.

• Progress Tracking & Reporting:

  • Conduct regular site coordination meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to track milestones.
  • Monitor daily material deliveries, machinery utilization, and manpower allocation to prevent shortages.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily site diaries and weekly progress reports to the project management team.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 8+ years of proven, hands-on experience in site management for building construction or civil engineering projects, preferably with main contractors.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and execute complex engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Deep practical understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and local building standards.

• Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership, conflict-resolution, and site problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and drive teams to meet tight deadlines.
  • Possesses a valid driving license and willingness to be stationed at active project sites.
