Site Manager - Construction

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee and manage daily construction site operations for our property development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out according to project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements, project timelines, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily construction site operations to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure construction works are completed according to the approved schedule and project milestones.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure all construction works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, building regulations, and quality standards.
• Monitor construction costs, manpower, materials, equipment, and other site resources to ensure efficient utilisation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues, resolve construction problems, and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, local authorities, and other relevant parties on project-related matters.
• Identify and resolve site issues, delays, technical challenges, and discrepancies in construction works.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, site records, and updates to the management team.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health requirements and maintain a safe working environment at the construction site.
• Monitor workmanship and coordinate inspections, testing, rectification works, and handover activities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction site management or project supervision.
• Experience in property development, residential, commercial, or mixed-development projects will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, technical drawings, and construction processes.
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage contractors, coordinate multiple work activities, and meet project deadlines.
• Good understanding of construction quality standards and occupational safety and health requirements.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and handle site-related challenges effectively.
• Willing to be based at the project site and travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification or registration relevant to the construction industry will be an advantage.
• Experience in managing projects from the construction stage through completion and handover.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements and construction approval processes in Malaysia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
