Site Manager | Main Contractor

GN Construction is a well-established Main Contractor which specialises in the delivery of large, complex and challenging projects throughout Auckland. We have a demonstrated track record of delivering high quality projects across various sectors for reputable developers.

Due to consistent and steady growth we are now looking to recruit an additional member to join our team. We specialise in the delivery of construction projects across commercial, residential, aged care, industrial and retail sectors.

Duties will Include:

• Site Management and Subcontractor Management
• Planning and managing the construction programme
• Health & Safety Management
• Quality Assurance
• Adherence to company policies and procedures and relevant codes
• Preparation of reports and reporting to the Project Manager
• Manage & updating registers
• Lead site and toolbox meetings

Skills and Requirements:

• Construction Management Degree or Trade Qualification (including LBP licensed - current or expired) or equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience, ideally working with a main contractor
• Experience on large commercial projects, valued $30m+
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation and industry compliance standards
• Have a solution-based approach while identifying and mitigating risks
• Strong work ethic and team player
• A strong commitment to health & safety as well as enforcement of Company policies and procedures
• Competent in MS Office Suite
• Excellent attitude & communication skills

Location and Hours

Our head office is based in Parnell with various project sites across the Auckland region. Hours are 7am-5pm Monday to Friday.
