Site Manager (Power Plant)

About the role

Site Manager position in the Operations Department at PT VPower Operation Services, responsible for monitoring all power plant operations, staff safety, and coordination of generators, transformers, control panels, fuel systems, and auxiliary equipment. The role involves direct communication with clients, supervisors, PLN, and industrial clients regarding plant operations and technical matters.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all staff to work safely and remind staff of risks in power plant work, motivating disciplined operations
• Monitor and coordinate power plant operating systems, including generators, transformers, LV, MV control panels, fuel systems, and all power plant staff
• Provide training lessons for power plant staff through training agendas and briefings every working day
• Communicate with clients, direct superiors, PLN, industrial clients, and the consortium regarding plant operations and technicalities
• Make daily and monthly operating reports, prepare kWh data and fuel information for billing, and prepare maintenance reports for the commercial department and the HQ team.
• Solve complex technical problems and implement new ideas to increase efficiency
• Monitor engine and power plant maintenance processes and plan maintenance schedules according to machine running hours and manual specifications
• Calculate and plan machine spare parts needs and auxiliaries annually based on daily machine operation hours
• Communicate and monitor with logistics staff, procurement, and the HQ team regarding parts ordering
• Monitor purchase requests for power plant needs
• Reside in Batam or be willing to be placed at Tanjung Uncang, Batam

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position
• Industrial Power Generation Expertise – Gas Engine Operation
• Maintenance skill
• Troubleshooting capability
• Capable of managing and motivating teams to reach performance goals
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
