Site Manager – Solar

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction activities for a large-scale utility Solar PV project in Romania. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating civil, mechanical and electrical works, and ensuring construction progresses safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction and installation activities across the project site.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical works.
• Supervise subcontractors, site engineers and installation teams.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones and construction progress.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Oversee installation of PV modules, mounting structures, trackers, cabling and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower and site logistics.
• Identify site issues, resolve construction challenges and escalate risks where necessary.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for project management.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality and HSE teams.
• Support testing, commissioning, punch-list completion and project handover.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of construction or site management experience preferred.
• Experience managing utility-scale Solar PV construction projects.
• Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, installation activities, HSE and QA/QC requirements.
• Ability to manage site schedules, resources and construction priorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English required.
• Romanian language advantageous.
