  • Carry out building fabric maintenance and minor electrical or building-services support activities where trained, competent and authorised.
  • Complete work orders through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintaining accurate maintenance records and asset information.
  • Participate in daily and weekly site whiteboard meetings, providing updates on maintenance, outstanding works, safety matters and operational priorities.
  • Plan and coordinate specialist contractors carrying out maintenance, statutory inspections and repairs.

  • Oversee contractor activities and ensure work follows approved procedures and the agreed scope.
  • Obtain and file service reports, test certificates and other completion records.
  • Identify defects and follow-up actions arising from maintenance or contractor reports and ensure they are progressed.
  • Support statutory compliance activities and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

What we are looking for

  • A qualified plumber with a recognised plumbing trade qualification, or a suitably qualified mechanical tradesperson with equivalent relevant plumbing experience and competence.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical building services and associated systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS and maintaining Air Handling Units (AHUs).
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety, RAMS, Permit-to-Work and contractor compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a Facilities Management team.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to travel between Dublin sites and work evening, night and weekend shifts.

A recognised mechanical trade or relevant technical qualification is highly desirable. Previous mechanical maintenance, building services or Facilities Management experience, basic electrical maintenance knowledge and experience coordinating specialist contractors would be an advantage.

A full driving licence is preferred because of travel between sites. Suitable candidates without a driving licence will also be considered.
