Site Project Engineer

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently looking for a PROJECT ENGINEER to be assigned to Pagbilao, Quezon Province.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered/Licensed Engineer (PRC) is highly preferred.
• Completed Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training from a DOLE-accredited training provider.
• With 3+ years of experience in project engineering, heavy infrastructure, power plants, or utilities projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with PIDs, technical specifications, and the Philippine energy/environment regulatory landscape (DENR, DOE, ERC, NGCP).
• Soft Skills: Excellent coordination, minute-taking, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office suite (e.g., MS Project, MS Excel), and CAD software is an advantage.

General Description:

The Project Engineer work scope includes the tasks of driving the technical execution, engineering review, procurement coordination, and regulatory compliance for Project Yugto. This position serves as a vital bridge between design teams, procurement, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all engineering deliverables are executed on time, within technical specifications, and in compliance with Philippine national standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Technical Design & Engineering Support

a. Design & Drawing Review: Assist in monitoring and reviewing design drawings, technical specifications, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs) to ensure engineering accuracy and project alignment.

b. Equipment Selection: Support the selection and specification of equipment to ensure alignment with project specs and compliance standards.

c. Technical Evaluations: Conduct initial technical assessments of engineering bids and proposals to verify they meet structural and operational mandates.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

a. Schedule Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to maintain and update equipment procurement schedules, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing project bottlenecks.

b. Contractor Interface: Assist in coordinating with contractors and suppliers to clarify technical requirements and ensure strict adherence to project specifications.

Project Governance, Documentation & Facilitation

a. Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder coordination sessions.

b. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare high-quality minutes of meetings (MoM), project documentation, progress reports, and presentations related to design and procurement for leadership review.

Regulatory Compliance

a. Compliance Alignment: Ensure compliance and adherence to relevant DAOs (DENR Administrative Order) and other regulatory standards (DOE, ERC, NGCP, etc.) in all technical evaluations and design considerations.

b. Permitting Support: Assist in compiling technical data required for regulatory filings and environmental compliance certificates.

• Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8hrs./day
• Work Location: Pagbilao, Quezon Province (Aboitiz Power - TLI)
