Site Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, responsible and results-driven Site Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects, particularly in infrastructure works, including roadworks, drainage, sewerage and other civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing and monitoring project activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards and safety regulations. The Site Project Manager will work closely with Management, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution and effective resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise, coordinate and oversee construction projects from commencement through completion and handover
• Develop and monitor project schedules, work programmes, resource allocation and key project milestones
• Oversee and manage daily site operations to ensure efficient and timely execution of construction works
• Lead, supervise and coordinate site engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors and construction workers
• Monitor site productivity, workmanship, material usage and manpower allocation
• Plan, coordinate and monitor subcontractors' work progress and performance at project sites
• Monitor project costs, material consumption, manpower expenses and machinery utilisation to ensure cost efficiency
• Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements
• Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to Top Management, highlighting work progress, project costs, manpower deployment and outstanding issues
• Lead, guide and monitor the performance of site engineers, supervisors and construction personnel

About you

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or a related field
• Preferably 5–7 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry, with proven experience in managing construction projects and site operations
• Experience in infrastructure construction, including roadworks, drainage, sewerage and civil engineering works, will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site management, project planning and contractual requirements
• Proven ability to plan, organise, execute, monitor and control multiple site activities effectively
• Good understanding of project costing, budget monitoring, resource allocation and cost control
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Project scheduling tools
• Possess a valid driving licence
