The Opportunity

Optimus Search is currently supporting a client on a hotel construction project located next to Bucharest International Airport in Otopeni.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the project team and oversee ongoing construction activities, with a particular focus on structural concrete works, waterproofing, façades and subcontractor coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take on a key role within an active project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Supervise structural concrete works and coordinate the completion of structural elements.
• Manage subcontractors responsible for waterproofing, façades and other construction packages.
• Coordinate activities across multiple construction disciplines.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential delays or site issues.
• Work closely with project management, contractors and the investor to ensure effective communication.
• Support the successful delivery of construction milestones.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction site management.
• Strong background in building construction, ideally hotels, commercial buildings or similar projects.
• Proven experience overseeing structural concrete works.
• Experience coordinating waterproofing, façade and other specialist subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and multidisciplinary site coordination.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent Romanian and English – essential.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Otopeni.
• Available to start at short notice.
