Site QAQC Engineer

About the role

TEGAS BIMBING KENCANA SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site QAQC Engineer to join our construction team in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control across our construction projects. As a Site QAQC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials and workmanship comply with project specifications, relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Your work will directly impact project success, client satisfaction and safety outcomes on site.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct routine site inspections and quality audits to verify that construction works meet design specifications and industry standards
2. Prepare and maintain comprehensive QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates and non-conformance reports
3. Perform material testing and verification to ensure all construction materials meet required quality standards before use
4. Identify and document deficiencies, non-conformances and areas requiring corrective action, communicating findings to project management and contractors
5. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective measures in a timely manner
6. Monitor and verify the compliance of construction activities with project specifications, drawings and method statements
7. Maintain calibration records for testing equipment and ensure all quality control tools are properly maintained
8. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly QAQC reports for project documentation and client submission
9. Liaise with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor to resolve quality-related concerns and ensure continuous improvement
10. Support safety initiatives on site by identifying quality-related risks and contributing to a culture of safe working practices

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related field
2. Proven experience with concrete testing, structural inspections and material quality verification
3. Proficiency in QAQC documentation, reporting systems and quality management software
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with all site personnel
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with QAQC software systems
7. Relevant professional certifications such as CIDB, IEM or equivalent qualifications are advantageous
