Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor with 10+ years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or process plant projects. The candidate will be responsible for site measurement, quantity verification, contractor billing, BOQ, cost control, reconciliation, variations, and commercial coordination. These responsibilities align with typical QS work involving site measurements, BOQ, contractor valuations, billing, cost control and claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify site measurements and quantities against IFC/GFC drawings, BOQ, work orders and specifications.
• Prepare and verify JMS, measurement sheets, RA bills and quantity abstracts.
• Check and certify contractor/subcontractor bills based on actual site progress.
• Review BOQ items, rates, quantities and modes of measurement.
• Conduct physical verification of completed works at site.
• Monitor material reconciliation, consumption and quantity variations.
• Review and assess extra items, deviations, variations and contractor claims.
• Prepare quantity and cost variance reports and support project cost control.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Contracts, Stores, Procurement and Accounts teams.
• Maintain proper records of measurements, billing documents, quantity statements and supporting documents.
• Review drawings and revisions to ensure quantities are updated accurately.
• Support final bill preparation, reconciliation and contract close-out.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable measurement standards.
• Liaise with contractors and resolve billing/quantity-related queries.
• Prepare regular quantity and commercial reports for management.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/site billing.
• Mandatory experience in Chemical
• Strong experience in site measurement, BOQ, billing, quantity verification and reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience handling contractor bills, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and quantity/billing documentation.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently at a project/site location.
